Day Two of My Hospital Admission

November 21, 2011

So it is day 2 of my admission in the hospital. I am feeling a lot better. Due to a few of my physical defects, infection is a high risk. However, after some strong antibiotics and even a blood transfusion, I feel a lot better.

I am hoping that by next week I will start the beginning of my surgeries.
That will include a more permanent feeding tube, an ostomy, and new eyelids!
I am most excited for the eyelids. Because I have not closed my eyes in 8 weeks. I sometimes wonder what it will feel like to close my eyes. Certainly I will sleep better.
I have finally recovered from jetlag. Traveling from India to the U.S. is a long journey. But I was greeted on the other side by my new American family and my grandma even drove with us to NC for my treatment. I have loved having her here.
Please continue to follow us. Most of all, please pray that my infection clears, that surgeries can happen soon.
Also, a lot of people are working to raise the money needed for all my surgeries. If you can join in praying on behalf of that project, I would love it.
I hope to hear from you soon and will share more as the days go by.
