“daddy’s with you Adam”

January 12, 2014

The dawn has not yet broken but awake we are.
And the truth is, I am sure many more of you are awake, or will be woken up earlier than you plan in the morning to come.
Because, isn’t that how life is?
And the majority of you will wake up, take the coffee down, turn on the shower head, turn your eyes to Him and will walk it out.
You will walk out the day ahead.
And most likely, you won’t blog about it;)
Thank you, other early risers, for your faithfulness to Him and to life.
Thanks for letting me share about our early morning, when you live yours, “left hand not telling right”
THIS man, he amazes me more and more each day.
We had a fitful night of sleep, as our humidifier broke (NOT to worry, we have already ordered a new one)
Since there is no central heating and it is quite frigid…
And since our Adam has a trach that needs humidified air
Adam had a fitful night because the air is cold and dry
(This is following about 2 months of AMAzing sleeping for him.
Raja found the perfect humidifier a few months ago and it has worked wonders for Adam.)
Well at 4:30 this morning, Raja brings out coffee, straps on a headlamp, and says to me
“necessity is the mother of invention” (maybe that is from someone..or maybe that is a Rajaism…I have not taken the time to google it;) )**
Anyways, he has now successfully created humidified air for Adam

And while I am just giggling, in awe, taking pictures, and blogging about the ordeal,
I hear Raja say to Adam
“daddy is with you, Adam”
from inside the dark shadows of a room now filled with buckets, umbrellas, electrical heating rods, a electric heating plate, and a electronic pressure cooker
All of which my psychiatrist husband has used to funnel humidified air to Adam.
Ansley and Jim, my Jax friends, your wedding gift pressure cooker has met more than one many needs…;) I hope you see this;)
And, might I add, Adam is sleeping for the first time since he tried at 930 pm.
That, my dears, is the Father’s heart in the flesh walked out
I am thankful to witness it;)

Also, I wanted to thank our sweet reader, Marta for sharing this gorgeous quote that seems relevant this morning:

We shall draw nearer to God not by trying to avoid the sufferings inherent in our lives, but by accepting them and offering them to Him; throwing away all defensive armor. If our hearts need to be broken, and if He chooses this as the way in which they should break, so be it.
—C.S. Lewis

**- I have now googled “necessity is the mother of invention”. Most credit it first to Plato, the brilliant Greek Philosopher. However, a few sources say Aesop said it nearly 100 years prior to Plato. I don’t know, but I will always think of the Indian doc, Raja Paulraj, when I hear it;)
