Hello, world. So I just experienced my first dose of general anesthesia. This was in order for me to get a central venous catheter that will help me be able to get IV fluids and antibiotics at home so we dont have to stay in the hospital any more.
We did not expect it to happen so early, but this morning at 645 we heard I would be going by 715 for the procedure. I chose that moment to make a massive messy diaper…sometimes it is just fun to see mom running around like a chicken with its head cut off. So we did get everything ready in time which was good and I entered in to the cold OR with lots of curious faces around me.
Once mom and dad came to check on me, I was fully alert looking all around and watching them as they approached the bed.
The anesthesia doctors even said my airway was completely normal and I was no problem to intubate!
They also did an ultrasound to see the veins throughout my body which were also normal!
So everyone was again surprised at my beautifully functioning inner body;)
I just wanted to update all of you on all that has happened.
And if you did not read yesterdays post…we wrote a little bit about updates on surgeries, funding needs, etc. Please check it out.
