Let’s pretend like I live in Hawaii and it is still 824 PM on Friday night.
Because my internet just started here in India and I have the chance to post this.
I am joining lots of women over HERE to write for 5 minutes on the word: TOGETHER

So I had traveled to Calcutta with 4 of my best girl friends in November of 2009. My heart had decided that it would be best without a husband and I had been romanced by my Savior and He had led me to India . These streets would be my home and He would be my Husband. And though He is, eternally, He had other plans regarding an earthly one.
He had plans of bringing us together.
We were staying in a guesthouse off a busy road in Kolkata.
We heard tales of this “amazing doctor” working by himself in an isolated mission hospital.
We must definitely meet him and be intrigued by his tales of life in the jungles of India .
Hesitant, we were.
But we joined him for dinner.
And I was smitten and a bit blown away.
Gorgeous smile and genuine kindness and beautiful stories of our God moving.
That is what I remember.
But surely we could never work out.
Indian and American
Doctor and nurse
One speaking all the languages necessary to survive in India .
One still sounding out words in Hindi, much less any other language.
One, living in rural tea plantations in NE India .
One, convinced she was going to live on a rooftop in Delhi her entire life with 40 children that had her heart.
But, Abba had other plans woven together.
Plans to bring two together
Plans to bring two together
Plans to show each that they needed another.
As we got to know each other more, our roads collided together in ways we could not have done ourselves.
The racial divisions, mattered not
Nor did the doctor vs nurse;)
Doors closed on the rooftop in Delhi for her to stay longterm
And though her heart ached more than she could have known, perhaps it started to make sense.
Together he brought us, and together we will forever be;)
I have learned more of myself and my need for another
I have seen depths of sin in my heart that Abba had to use a husband to bring into the Light.
And I am so thankful.
We are now with two children in tow, despite our original plans, I could not be more joyful and thankful.
Together is surely a beautiful thing.
I am thankful that “in his heart a man makes his plans, but the Lord directs his steps”
I am thankful that “in his heart a man makes his plans, but the Lord directs his steps”

Lovely account of God scripting the story of our life, Jessica. He plans much bigger than anything we could imagine. Blessings.
