humbled

November 29, 2011

Hello to all. We are amazed. Absolutely amazed at all the encouragement we are receiving.

God is so good. So faithful.

We had wonderful friends around us all day.

The surgeries went well. Please pray for his eyes to heal and eyesight to remain well;)

He is in the ICU on lots of monitors for the night. He is sedated with pain medication to prevent…well…pain of course;) His eyes are almost fully shut closed with sutures to let the cornea rest. So he is having some sweet dreams right now.

We are taking this as a night to get a FULL NIGHT OF SLEEP! First time in 10 weeks. We are elated to say the least;)

Adam is sitting like a king on a throne in that hospital bed and has a precious and top notch nurse caring for him.

Pray for a peaceful night of rest for him
Pray against infection
And all the previously stated ones;)

Love to you all again and again

    HOORAY FOR EYELIDS!! So excited for you all to get some sleep and for Baby Adam to experience the beautiful, comforting darkness of closing his eyes. I am praying.

    Jessica, I met your mom at CCH and even met you once at a Summer Salads. I remember then how you radiated the love of Jesus, just in brief conversation. I remember hearing about your appendicitis in India and praying. Time went by and life went on and then today, I hear about your precious son from CCH. I have sat for an hour reading his story, praising God for the miracles He alone continues to perform and I keep thinking, our God is an Awesome God. Those are the only words that fit. I will continue to pray for healing, rest and peace for all of you. You have a beautiful family.

    Blessings,

    Christie G.

    Psalm 121

    I lift up my eyes to the hills.
    From where does my help come?
    My help comes from the LORD,
    who made heaven and earth.
    He will not let your foot be moved;
    he who keeps you will not slumber.
    Behold, he who keeps Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.

    The LORD is your keeper;
    the LORD is your shade on your right hand.
    The sun shall not strike you by day,
    nor the moon by night.

    The LORD will keep you from all evil;
    he will keep your life.
    The LORD will keep
    your going out and your coming in
    from this time forth and forevermore.

    this is awesome..i hope i get to meet you all someday..amanda grace has been keeping me up to date about this sweet boy and about the amazing love God has put in your hearts.

    my husband and i and our 8 month old son said a prayer for adam last night…we are thankful for a God that hears our prayers and who does not disappoint.

    faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain about what we do not see.

    Your story is so beautiful, and just so amazing. I was on Facebook this morning, and came across a link to the story on the News & Observer. I was getting ready to do a little silly online shopping, but when I saw this, I knew there was a much better way to share this holiday season. God bless you and your husband and baby Adam. What wonderful parents he has found in you both!
