So it is an early Saturday morning.
I, mother, am wide awake and the boys are sound asleep.
This has been one of the more difficult weeks we have had. Let’s just be honest.
But oh what a faithful heavenly Father we have.
He is always making beauty from ashes.
And He is always proving faithful and loving.
And still I doubt.
I should be silenced.
But His mercy is real and new each morning.
So after surgery on Tuesday, we were discharged Wednesday evening. We then had an eye check up on Thursday and yesterday. The cornea continues to heal with the glue that was placed. We have to do pretty meticulous care regularly to care for his eye and return on Tuesday to figure out the next stage of care. We will hope to do the skin grafts and that they can then heal properly the next time.
Please pray specifically for:
-eyelids to form correctly and heal well
-cornea, in the L eye specifically, to heal well
-eyelid opening and closing muscles (which are present) to be stimulated well and used well by Adam so he can open and shut them on his own
-discernment and provision for doctors to do eyelid grafts a second time (timing of surgery, proper healing, etc).
-faith to walk out each day
We are hoping to have a few days around Christmas to be with my family. That will be nice 😉 We do miss them and Raja’s family around this time of year.
We continue to be amazed at the provision by our God while here. We are going on a month today of staying with the beautiful Senior family. They have truly been living and giving so sacrificially to us while here. We cannot say enough about Dr. and Mrs. Senior and their 4 children. Through them we have met many more amazing people, found a sweet church community while here, and so much more. We love you Seniors!
A few pictures as of lately:
We love going on walks…especially on streets named after our boy! |
New baby wrap that is pretty incredible. It has silencing power of Adam..no matter what a fit he is having, place him in this pouch, and he falls asleep. Love it! |
