So all was going well this morning and we were anticipating a 1pm departure to Maggie Valley, NC for a week with my (Jessica) family. It was going to be a lovely drive, we had music picked out, Adam bundled up, and all the bags packed. I went to start a shower and Raja calls me to come over to look at Adam. As I walked over Raja told me what I was hoping with all my heart was not true…that the contact lens had again fallen out. The L lid was sown almost completely shut on Tuesday, but there was a small portion left open at the medial area (near nose) and that is where the contact lens snuck out.
We then were able to look more closely at his eye and saw that the iris was coming thru the ulcer on the cornea. We called the doctor and were told to come in immediately. They are going to do a different procedure this evening to try and help this stubborn L eye. They will be doing a partial corneal graft (where they take a portion of a cornea that has been donated by a healthy eye, remove the bad part of Adam’s cornea and place the graft in).
Please be praying.
Oh please pray.
To say we are discouraged would be an understatement. But we cling to His grace. For it is all that is sufficient in our weakness
“My grace is sufficient for you…My Power is made perfect in your weakness”
We certainly feel weak now. And we are sad to not be joining my family tonight. Most likely we will be discharged tonight and then can join the family then.
Adam is doing fine otherwise…just really hungry…being well comforted by this dad at the moment.
Glad to know this Truth right now…He has made. Will bear. Will carry. Will save.
“Listen to me, O house of Jacob, all the remnant of the house of Israel,
who have been borne by me from before your birth,
carried from the womb;
even to your old age I AM HE and to gray hairs I WILL carry you.
I have made,
and I will bear;
I will carry and will save.”
Specific Requests:
strength for Adam
knowledge, strength, wisdom for doctors
pray against complications
miraculous healing for his eyes
endurance for raja and i
safety and love for my family while in the mountains
