adam’s first laugh!

Today was an exciting day for us…
Adam reveled in a moment with his dad in the waiting room of the clinic.
And he chuckled for a good 60 seconds or so.

I wish each of you had been there to see all the exclamations and laughs around the room in response!
Brooke, Lori, Savannah, Raja, and I each enjoyed that moment like none other.

So just to update you…
We had a check up yesterday on Adam’s eyes.
No negative reports;)
The eyelids continue to heal well and no current needs for surgery.
That is exciting;)
You can still see the little muscles twitching in each lid and he is slowly learning how to blink.
Please continue to pray for that;)
His eye is being covered well with the lids, which is a huge blessing and answer to prayer.
And look at this, all you dear ones…

What is Adam doing?
He is LOOKING!
He is SEEING!
People! Thank you for lifting up our precious son! 
There were many risks for him to lose his sight on this journey.
But His Abba Father, who delights in hearing the prayers of His children, has lavished Adam with 
grace upon grace.
And Adam has eyes to see what He is doing!
We stood in front of this contraption for quite some time today and Adam just loved it.
And…check this out!

Adam is holding himself up!
With the gentle touch of Lori’s hands!
He has got some solid arms my friends.
His little torso and upper body are incredibly strong.
We cannot wait until the day all that tape is off.
We do give him breaks from it.
When he is real calm.
But as of now, he gets real irritable and scratches at his healing eyes and eyelids.
So, alas, the obnoxious taped mask remains!
Tomorrow…
We have a preop appointment with orthopedics and meet with the Dr. who did the cornea transplant.
Please continue to lift our little one up.
And us as well;)
You are each loved so much!

  1. Such a sweet little guy! I wanted to see all of you while you were in town but I was sick with bronchitis and I know how important it was to stay away from Adam. Darn! I wanted to see him! Prayers are always with you three. God is so good and amazing. Sue Blythe

  2. I am so happy to read this!! I just love that little face! My daughter enjoyed looking at that same contraption when we were at the hospital when my son was born. We continue to pray for Adam each day and will specifically pray about the requests in this post. Thanks for the updates!

  7. What wonderful news! We continue holding Adam and all of you up to Him in our daily prayers! It is a tremendous blessing to SEE! Just today, some people from Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired gave a presentation to our students. It was a real eye-opener (pun intended!) for our students, reminding them of the incredible blessing their sight is! May God continue to bless Adam and all of you!   8. This is so so so precious! I love watching the Lord shower your sweet family with His love, blessings, and healing. What the Lord is doing is so glorious it bring tears to my eyes.

  9. I stumbled upon Adams story looking for research for my daughters assignment in class , and I am very glad I did. I wish to keep following his story and if ever a oppotunity arises for me to aid you all i will. Bless all of you exspecially baby boy.
