no event too common place for His glory to not be seen.

January 24, 2012

“There is no event so common place but that God is present within it,  always hidden, always leaving you room to recognize Him or not to recognize Him.” (Fredrick Buechner)
This season of life has definitely been one where we have nearly drowned in His holiness and His glory.
What a tragedy it would be to credit it to coincidence or medicine. For it is Him and Him alone.
My petition today: that we can see each event not as common place and devoid of holiness.
BUT that we would see each event and each moment as holy.
Recognize Him today.

reading Tales of the Kingdom to adam on the front porch of home;)  in FL for a few days.

meeting Isaiah David Walton Guerrero for the first time!

The following are a series of pictures taken by photojournalist Maria Van Aalst. She is an incredible photographer, support, and sister in Him;) We are beyond humbled to have her be a part of Adam’s life!

i absolutely treasure this photo of adam imitating raja.

Me with Adam the morning before his first surgery

last photo before Adam went in for his first big surgery

in hospital after first surgery

evening we were discharged. i love the silhoutte here. i love how my husband leaves me flustered to know  what to speak. so i awkwardly raise my hand and giggle. i do love him and his husbandly love and fatherly love. so thankful adam knows such love of an earthly father.

heart of the Father. so thankful adam is experiencing that on earth.

so thankful for the pastor of the church we have been attending and our surgeon starting the day, before surgery, in prayer

oh i love him.

These pictures are stunningly beautiful. It is AWESOME to see God's work being done through Adam, you and Raja, and your journey.

So beautiful…a father's love for us. And so beautiful the way you have taken Adam as your own – not of blood but certainly of heart and soul. What amazing things must God have planned for your son?! I can't wait to see!

So lovely. I want to cry reading your blog sometimes, but it's only because His good gifts are so evident in every word.
