update: extubation did not go as well as expected.
Due to the new closure of his previously very open face, his mouth and airway are a lot smaller and were too difficult for Adam to breathe thru.
They struggled to reintubate him (put a breathing tube back in) but did finally get the breathing tube back in his nose.
Good news: his lip repair looks great;)
Probable plan is to place a tracheostomy for Adam that will go for a few years. Big, tough update…
Just to lighten the mood a bit and to find degrees of gratitude despite all of this…
I finally figured out how to crop videos to put on here. These are 2 from the day and day before surgery.
We were gifted this precious Baby Einstein music box that Adam adores!
In the second video, you can see him push the button himself to play (his done it 5 or 6 times now and it is quite exciting to watch)

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that the extubation did not go as well as hoped, but I'm glad that his lip repair looks good. I love the vidoes! What a cutie!

If all our Lord ever did for us was to send His Son to die on the cross in our place, it would be enough to praise Him for all of eternity. But oh, how He does so much more for His children! So thankful for His love unfathomable. And so thankful for your obedience, sister, for I get the privilege of watching this beautiful God story unfold! Adam is a beauty and makes me smile so big!
