So we just got internet at home and it is quite speedy;) But I have felt quite disconnected, acutely in these past 3 days because we have never felt such a desperate need for prayer and wanted to share with you all.
We got to Herbertpur on Friday afternoon. Travel went well getting here and we even were obnoxious and stopped at McDonalds on the way. By the way…I thought it was a mirage because it was so randomly placed and so not expected. And…they have a drive thru! I just thought that was funny in the middle of farmlands and vegetation India…ohhh 21st century…
So we moved back into our little home (which included an invasion of mice, mold galore, and lots of other lovely welcoming gifts;) and all was well except it was a bit…HOT…and Adam has been spoiled by AC land for a while…and didnt quite know what to do. I do believe he forgot he was born here and survived quite decently without AC for a while;) So it took us a few days to figure out a way to cool off our house so Adam would be more comfortable (especially having a tracheostomy and needing more humid air)…but Adam got quite sick in the process.
That leads to my gratitude tonight…because the past 3 days have been the most difficult days I think I have ever known. Adam did not sleep but maybe 1.5 hours total in 2.5 days and was too hot with a fever, vomiting up each feeding, and diarrhea. It was bad. And he could not be calmed much at all…but holding was a requirement or else he would writhe and kick in bed alone. It was so hard to watch and I really was in despair one night…trying to cling to Him…but knowing how fast a baby can fade with dehydration. We felt as though our hearts were removed from us and we just had to sit and watch and pray. So our days were filled with constant administration of oral rehydration fluids, attempting formula, zofran (to stop the vomiting), antibiotics and tylenol around the clock. All that to say…today Adam has recovered nearly fully. He has been sleeping peacefully all day and is fever free and vomiting free;)
We are so grateful and are really looking forward to a night of rest.
I will write more later but I just wanted to get a few logistical details out of the way;)
love to you all

What an incredibly strong will Adam has!…and what an awesome God we serve. May He watch over you all as you 'settle in', and prepare for your new little one! You and Raja and Adam are on the front line–showing others the power of the one true God! I will be thinking of you all and keeping you in prayer. It is a great responsibility that He has given to you . Remember that someone in Texas is lifting you up….in Christ…..Lynn
