Adam has recovered well.
We ended up staying in Musoorie thru the week to finish Adam’s IV antibiotics.
We could have moved to oral antibiotics, but the risk of not catching all the sickness was too much of a risk.
We have had an amazing pediatrician caring for him.
We left the hospital on Tuesday and moved to a family’s house who lives next door to the hospital.
The husband is a surgeon and the SAO of the hospital and his beautiful wife is a teacher locally. They have cared for us so much.
The pediatrician have come each morning to check on Adam and we are so very thankful for the amazing care we have received.
So his week of antibiotics will finish on Monday morning and we will head back on Monday afternoon.
The week started off quite rough but He has definitely used it for good.
Raja has also been able to do quite a bit with psychiatry and we have been encouraged.
Hadassah came with us and has been having a beautiful time and reveling in the beauty and freedom of the mountains. It reminds her a lot of her home state so she has been quite excited.
She also received her first guitar lessons from a sweet Australian, Michaela, and has picked it up incredibly fast. I am attaching a picture of her and Adam playing together. The guitar is his distraction when we have to give his IV antibiotics each morning and night. We are also rejoicing that this IV has lasted so well…it took 4 attempts the first few days. Holding down Adam and the bloody messes that resulted are never what a mom and dad want to experience with their child, nurse & doc or not. 🙁
this is our celebration dance…after adam’s fever broke and he started sitting up again…after a few days of being wiped out. |
hadassah and i returning from a hike to fetch a guitar for her to borrow for the week. shes rocking it, btw. |
our sweet australian friend teaching hadassah…doesnt she look gorgeous with that guitar? |
yes…he is still growing and only has 5 more weeks;) |
adam’s first day in the hospital…we left the hospital the next morning to move him into a friend’s house for a more comfortable week of treatment;) |
the night before he was admitted…he met Pooh Bear for the first time. it was pretty epic. a lot of nose rubbing with pooh. |
if you have to be in the hospital…you may as well have this glorious view;) |
hadassah and adam on the guitar;) this is my favorite picture |
