2 years

Million Miles  has been playing throughout my day
Thinking of these 2 years of marriage that have passed
And the seemingly million miles that have been traveled.
And for a couple that had planned to not bring kiddos into the family for “at least 3 years”

So today, Raja and I celebrate 2 years of marriage.
2 years ago, some of my most dearest sisters got lots of henna

And we carried flowers and laughed in the bright sunshine

And Raja patiently and joyfully endured an American ceremony and lots of pictures

And we danced and laughed til our sides ached…

And I spun…

We departed beneath bubbles

And walked into a new season

Dear Raja, we had no idea and could never comprehend all that was about to happen
We walked hand in hand, just the 2 of us…
For just 6 months…
Then welcomed our first baby

And a miniture Raja arrived a year and 4 days after Adam

We have trenched greater depths

 and
We have tasted of higher heights

 Than our feeble minds could have fathomed

 But we serve One who does “infinitely more than we could ask or imagine”
And I am so thankful to have been given you to journey this life with.

 You know, Ruth Bell Graham used to say that if 2 agree on EVERYthing, 1 of them is unnecessary;)

I love that.
And by that definition, we are both necessary;)

I love learning from you and seeing you display the love of our Heavenly Father again and again
Despite circumstances

Sleepless nights
And so many changes

In the words of Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

“In a word, live together in the forgiveness of your sins,
For without it no human fellowship
LEAST OF ALL MARRIAGE,
Can survive”
