Can I tell you a Story (4)

June 23, 2013

So, remember?
We are in a series of raising Ebenezers (what Samuel did to remember what God had done)
We are remembering, each day, His faithfulness.
In this time of waiting for funds, let us all be faithful.
Faithful in the waiting.
For He is at work in these moments.
His ways are not our ways.
Nor His thoughts, ours.
The prophet Isaiah told us so;)
And to Him,a thousand years are like a day.
And a day?
It is like a thousand years.
So though I feel an urgent need,
I know in the economy, on High,
He is at work outside my finite mind
(And its finite understanding)

So on to today’s story
It is another picture
Because they speak a thousand words, don’t they?

Dear ones, THIS is evidence of a faithful Abba Father.
For, just 15 months ago, my boy’s face was open in the middle
There was NO mouth
There was no way to smile
Adam SMILES
He laughs
Abba gave a doctor at UNC Chapel Hill
A willingness to step out in faith
And he repaired “the most difficult cleft lip” he had ever done
And now, our boy laughs
(most common causes of laughter: music that he likes, swinging, dancing, us speaking Hindi goofily)
And when he does, it may look different from what our world labels a beautiful smile
But I just may think it is the most beautiful one in the world

                                                              Because it almost was not

It almost was not a smile
But it is
Because He is good
And not only does he smile, but look at those dimples!
Love him so
So, our Ebenezer of His faithfulness today
Is Adam’s laughter and his dimples
