Sorry for the absence…

December 30, 2011

We hope each of you had wonderful Christmas with friends and family.
We have been out of the computer world for a while as we have had some time to be with dear ones, and most of all, reflect on our Lord’s great Love, these past few days.

A few updates though:

Chapel Hill has been doing a lot to continue sharing Adam’s story. This news piece ran a few days ago and they also published an article in the paper on Christmas morning. We wanted to share these with you.

We also wanted to share something very precious with you all. We found out about 2 weeks ago that some of our dear friends have created a beautiful children’s book in honor of Adam, all proceeds of which will go to his fund for future surgeries.

We are currently trying to figure out the best way to print them off. Who would be willing to purchase it for $15?
That way we could know how many to order. Let us know if you are interested by making a comment on this post;)

We had a wonderful Christmas and have so much I want to share. But I will wait until later;) Blog to come: “Revel While you Raise” (to be sung to the tune of “Whistle While you Work”).
Remember, as this “Christmas season” passes.
Remember that
Abba Father is not a season.
Each night is holy.
For He is Holy.
And He never leaves nor forsakes.
For a child was born to us, to you.
And thru Him, ALL oppression shall cease.
For one day, He will make ALL THINGS NEW.
It is true.
For now, yes, heartache and deformities, and sickness.
They do exist.
But His Name.
Is above all names.
And this night is Holy.
Has He appeared to you?
For when He does, the soul will know its worth.
We are pining in sin and error.
He longs to free us from that oppression and draw us into His family, eternally.
Do you feel it?
That ‘thrill of hope’?
Fall on your knees.
For tonight is Holy.
We stand on Holy ground.
For He is Holy.
This year, as we held Adam in our arms.
As we held one adopted, loved, and known.
We were reminded that just 3 months ago.
On a humid September night.
He had not been adopted.
Our love was not known to him.
In a lone infant warmer bed he laid.
Destined for death, most told us.
But, on our knees, we encountered Love Eternal.
We were reminded of our own state, “in sin and error pining”.
We realized we too were Adam, orphaned, abandoned, deformed, destined for death.
But.
BUT HE.
BUT HE APPEARED.
And our souls felt their worth!
(No, Adam’s souls worth does not come thru our love as his parents.)
It will come thru Love Eternal.
But what a picture he is to us.
Of our adoption by our Abba Father.
As Adam celebrated his first Christmas here.
He was held, loved, accepted, prayed over, received, celebrated.
It is beautiful.
Reminds me of that great hymn
“I once was lost but now am found”.
We are so grateful for the love he has known thus far.
We pray it only continues.
O Holy night, the stars are brightly shining

It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Til He appeared and the soul felt it’s worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoyces
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees

O hear the angel voices
O night divine!
O night when Christ was born
O night divine!
O night, O night divine!

And in His Name, all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we
Let all within us praise his holy name
Christ is the Lord!
Their name forever praise we

Noel, Noel
O night, O night Divine
Noel, Noel
O night, O night Divine
Noel, Noel
O night, O holy Divine

Remember, tonight too is HOLY.
Do you see Him?
“Earth is crammed with heaven,
and every common bush afire with God;
but only he who sees takes off his shoes.
The rest sit around it and
Pluck blackberries
.” ~Elizabeth Barret Browning
*We would like to give a huge note of gratitude to Danielle Vailmont and Leah Diaz for updating our site as a precious gift to us! Funny enough…I met Danielle in Kolkata the same day I met Raja in 2009. Crazy beautiful, isn’t He? Our God that is. Danielle works in Kolkata and we stayed in the same guesthouse there (*when I was volunteering at a nurse in Kolkata) and her love for India and the people of Kolkata is beautiful. She was with Raja and I when we first met. She’s been a great encouragement to us and then offered to update the blog for us! Her friend, Leah, volunteered her time as well;) Love you sisters.

I would buy a book! I think you could charge a little more and include the cost of shipping…make it $15 with shipping included and then if you can ship for less than $5 that can go towards your profits too!

I would love to blog about this too once the book is ready to go – wouldn't it be great to have a "blogging for Adam day"?! Get the word out!!

Can your friends create a button to grab for the blog so that we can put it on our sites? Just a thought!!

Don't mean to come off bossy here….I am just really inspired by your faith and this journey you are on and know that others would be too!

    Many blessings to you today!!
    Kristin

Can I have one book? (I'll give 20 to pay the cost of postage). I'm actually working as a translator for different Children books publishers (in Paris). I could try to introduce the book and the idea to them (but I can't promise anything of course…)
Merry Christmas and happy new year !

Bring at least 100 copies back with you! Can't wait to see you, Adam! Have you been keeping your mom and dad out of trouble? I know it's a difficult task, but it's your burden to bear:). I really miss you cuz I've grown to love you so much and you've taken a little piece of my heart with you! I won't ask for it back, but I do ask that you take it with you wherever you go!
Tell your mom and dad that we think the books should be at least $15 but probably $20. If there is somebody who really wants one and can only pay $10 then you should send one on cuz God will provide for you and it is just as important for you to be able to share your story as it is to raise money:). I have so much to tell you like why we will be driving a new red Expedition when you get back to Chapel Hill:). Please give everyone a kiss for us, especially your Grandma cuz I really like her! Have a safe trip home and make sure your mommy does not talk or text while driving! Daddy can do that for her:). Love you! Mrs. Senior

I wanted to ask your permission to use some of your photos on my blog (http://sunshineinmelancholia.blogspot.com/). Baby Adam's story has touched me so deeply. I am sharing his story with everyone I talk to and am trying to organize a small fundraiser. I have linked to your blog from my mine and added the click to give button on my blog (linking to the fund website). I'd also be happy to write about the book on my blog as well.
