who’s a ‘beta’?

January 19, 2012

Is this not a beautiful picture? For those of you who have seen my son, our son, Adam, he did not have eyelids the first 10, maybe 12, weeks of his life. It has led to a total of 6? surgeries where amazing doctors and specialist surgeons have attempted to create eyelids. And even moreso, […]

Update on appts: We met with ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and pediatric surgery on Tuesday. A day full of pretty good reports;) Cornea’s look well, eyelid may need a revision in February, skin above eyes has healed well, and feeding tube was replaced in Adam’s stomach. i should be silenced

November 30, 2011

Hello to all. It is a frigid North Carolina evening here. Raja and I had a wonderful night of sleep and much needed time together. Thank you for those prayers. We came in this morning and have been here all day. In the morning we were told Adam was breathing over the ventilator, and by […]

perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf

November 27, 2011

Adam’s mom here. It is a chilly Sunday evening here in Chapel Hill. Adam is doing wonderfully. He has started cooing like crazy, following our voices, and we are convinced laughing (by the look in his eyes). His appetite is increasing and he is being loved by so many. It was so wonderful to surprise […]

Adam is a shadow chaser, high five giver, explorer, & overcomer. He joined our family thru adoption and has taught us a new way to see ever since. His unformed body revealed my unformed heart.
